Gamdom Blackjack: Rules, Tables and Smart Play
Blackjack is the table game where your decisions matter most. Gamdom offers its own 3:2 table with side bets, a range of RNG versions and live dealers. This guide covers the rules, the interface and how to play a sensible hand from Canada.
How a hand plays out
The aim is to finish closer to 21 than the dealer without going over. Number cards count at face value, face cards count 10, and an ace counts 1 or 11.
Place your bet
Choose a stake and, if you want, side bets. Then press Play or Deal.
Cards are dealt
You get two cards face up. The dealer shows one card and keeps one hidden.
Make your move
Hit for another card, Stand to hold, Double to take one card for twice the bet, or Split a pair.
Dealer finishes
The dealer reveals the hidden card and draws to the table rule. Higher total wins.

Inside the Gamdom blackjack table
The Original table uses a green felt with the rules printed across it: blackjack pays 3 to 2, insurance pays 2 to 1. The control bar at the bottom holds the main bet, quick amount buttons, seat selection and a side-bets switch.
Without a bet, pressing Play starts a demo round so you can learn the flow. Side bets require a real bet on the main hand.
Cards and the dealer
The dealer's hidden card is what makes blackjack interesting. When the dealer shows a 7 through ace, assume a strong hand behind it; when the upcard is 2 through 6, the dealer is more likely to bust.
A simplified decision guide
Basic strategy lowers the house edge; it does not remove it. This condensed version covers the most common hard totals.
| Your hand | Dealer shows 2-6 | Dealer shows 7-A |
|---|---|---|
| 8 or less | Hit | Hit |
| 9 | Double on 3-6, otherwise hit | Hit |
| 10 or 11 | Double | Double if your total is higher than the dealer's card, else hit |
| 12 | Stand on 4-6, hit on 2-3 | Hit |
| 13 to 16 | Stand | Hit |
| 17 or more | Stand | Stand |
| Pair of aces or 8s | Split | Split |
Exact strategy varies with the number of decks and table rules. Check the info panel on each game.

Yes, where Gamdom accepts players from your province. You will find Gamdom's own blackjack in Originals and further tables, including live dealers, in the casino section.
The Gamdom Original table states that blackjack pays 3 to 2 and insurance pays 2 to 1. Other providers' tables list their own rules in the game info.
The Gamdom Original offers a demo round when no bet is placed, which is a good way to learn the buttons. Side bets require a real bet.
With sound basic strategy, blackjack usually has a lower house edge than most slots, so a budget tends to last longer. It still favours the house over time.
Insurance is a side bet that the dealer has blackjack. For players using basic strategy it is generally not recommended, because its expected value is negative.
The code attaches 15% rakeback for your first 7 days to your account. Eligible bets and calculation rules are shown in Gamdom's Rewards section.
